A +1 magic weapon. It is a longsword, and is thusly versatile.
Description
A gleaming platinum-crested steel blade, likely of elven make, with trace amounts of adamantium along the fuller. The handle is made of gold, and pale green gems sit on both faces of the pommel. The blade is broken about a third of the way down, but is done is such a way that one studied in smithing would believe that it was done deliberately.
Effects
The blade actually continues out to its full length, but not physically. The rest of its mass takes a ghostly form, invisible when not under the light of a moon.
The longsword gains a +1 to attack rolls and damage rolls, dealing 1d8 necrotic damage in place of slashing. Additionally, when used against ethereal, ghostly presences, like banshees and wraiths, the weapon does an extra 3d8 magical slashing damage.
History
Wander discovered the sword amongst the various treasures hoarded by the beast Anlath. Tyerjon took the sword and later handed it to Leadbelly, who discerned that the sword was likely broken deliberately, in a controlled manner.
