Effects
When you wear the hat, you become appealing and trustworthy, gaining +4 to performance, persuasion, and deception checks with people who are more than 5 feet away from you.
CURSED: The hat forcibly attunes to whomever puts it on, requiring a Remove Curse spell or similar to remove. To those observing the hat, it will appear as a very appealing hat specific to their tastes. To the wearer, however, it will become a literal steaming pile of feces, adhered to their head along with the associated heat and aromas. The feces is slightly wet and leaks down at times, though this is not visible to onlookers. Those within 5 feet of the wearer will suddenly become aware of the smell coming from the hat, and the wearer will suffer a -1 to charisma checks to these people, should they find the smell distasteful.
History
Wander discovered the hat when rifling through the items in the lair of the beast Anlath. He later wore it, discovering the awful side effects for himself. Phaelnah removed the hat with a spell, and the Peas later gave it to the rat demigod Rodariost as an offering of peace to Gulchax.
