A large amount of unstable icy clusters each lit by blue flame quickly appear in a 60 foot long, 15 foot wide line originating from you. The clusters spread around corners, propagating and exploding chaotically.

When the clusters appear, each creature in the affected area must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 12d8 cold damage on a failed save, and becomes rooted in place by the residual ice. In order to escape the ice, a creature must make a DC 15 escape check as an action on their turn. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage.

The clusters leave a line of iced ground in their wake, which remains for 1 minute.
