The Shadow Wars were a long, bloody set of wars that mainly took place in the Free Lands and the Sufessian Dominion from Iron 968 to roughly Iron 988. The wars were rough and destructive, yet largely fought in secret to the rest of the world up until the final years of confrontation. This was in large part due to the unwillingness of many of the Free Land kingdoms to work with outside help, an outlook that was begrudgingly forced to evolve due to the overwhelming power of the Dominion.
