“They are a simple folk, but always remember the complexity that can hide beneath a common surface.”

Halflings are small in comparison with the members of most other races. The term "halfling" was derived from the fact that the average halfling was around half the size of the average human, but otherwise very similar in appearance. Halfling hairstyles are often complex, with strands woven together or braided. Nearly all male halflings were incapable of growing true beards, though many had long sideburns. Halfings live in tight-knit communities that are known for their kindess, derived from their shorter staure compared to other races. They are notoriously curious and have a fondness for stories and legends and are rich in the oral tradition.
