“Do I look okay?” “You look like you always do.” — Marlos Urnrayle and Abielle Huntsilver
Let it be known that from ash and ruin, some souls twist toward light, others toward shadow—and some, like Marlos Urnrayle, toward the mirrored illusions of beauty.
The boy who emerged from the wreckage of the Urnrayle Massacre bore neither crown nor clarity. With his noble lineage reduced to memory and bloodstains, Marlos wandered into the world wrapped in the gauze of grief and self-delusion, seeking meaning in gilded surfaces and ephemeral pleasures. Though self-obsessed and vain, there was within him a spark—a yearning to embody the grandeur his parents once postured, yet never attained.
In the year 1500, he crossed paths with Abielle Huntsilver and Aelar Siannodel in the mist-veiled hamlet of Willow’s Larch. There, with the careless charm of wealth, he tasked them with reclaiming family jewels from one of his decaying estates. What followed, however, drew him deeper into the storm of destiny.
Alongside the fellowship later named The A-Team, Marlos aided in the thwarting of Prisoner 108, a figure bent on annihilating the town. This act, whether of heroism or convenience, marked the beginning of his slow spiral into relevance. He followed the group northward to Amphail, where politics, ever the poison and the panacea of nobility, ensnared him once more. And when blades were drawn and fates sealed at the Sacred Stone Monastery, it was Marlos who stood among those who defied the darkness beneath.
After the events of the Urnrayle Incident, his visage shifted and darkness took hold. Transfigured into a gorgon, Marlos flew into a rampage and fled, whereabouts currently unknown. Only time will tell what his fate holds.
