Rite of the Winter Wolf (Level 3): "I need your help, Luke. She needs your help. I'm getting too old for this sort of thing." --- Obi Wan Kenobi Ever wondered why Kenobi kills himself in A New Hope? He knows he's going to die once he's fulfilled his purpose, and becomes one with the Force. The same sort of idea holds true for Garou—A tenet of the Litany is Suffer Not Thy People to Tend Your Sickness, which (loosely translated) means "I've become too old and am too wounded to help you now, so I'm gonna go ask you all to watch me kill myself." There must be at least 3 Garou present to witness this event, and it must always be done at night. Immediately after the suicide, the sept performs the Gathering for the Departed (see above.) Whatever weapon is used to kill the Garou has to be silver, but doesn't have to be a klaive.
