Vathrion is the stillness between breaths — the point where life ends and something else begins. He is neither feared nor adored, but respected as the force that maintains the balance between the living and the dead. Half-living and half-skeletal in his depictions, Vathrion judges souls with unwavering neutrality. Gravekeepers, judges, morticians, and lawful necromancers honor him, believing that both death and undeath have purpose only when guided by discipline and restraint. His presence is felt in quiet rooms, fading candlelight, and the final moment before a soul departs.
