Mary’s Crimson Cutter was captained by the notorious pirate John Cutter, who dominated the northern seas until a raid on a ship carrying a powerful witch from the Circle of Wizards and Witcheschanged his fate. As punishment for his plundering, the witch cursed Cutter, severing his bond with the sea and condemning him to a life away from water.
Unable to sail, Cutter’s crew ran the ship aground, embedding it into the cliffs near the town of Madher in Eredonia. Now, the Crimson Cutter remains a half-wrecked monument, perched eerily on the cliffs as a reminder of Cutter’s hubris and the witch’s revenge.
