The Significant Treasure - S01 E01

On the 74th day of Asdeh, 2980, six adventurers, each a stranger to the others, met at a tavern known as the Wakely Goose in the town of Fayhold. The group comprised Ragnar Meliamne, an elven rogue; Danté Galanodel, an elven ranger; Matty 'Asmatheus' Forester, a human rogue; Juul Troski, a human wizard; and the dwarven brothers Thor Battlehammer and Diggy Holderhek. Drawn by rumors of a significant treasure, once guarded by two now-deceased wealthy heroes and currently watched over by a mysterious creature, they found themselves in this tavern. The adventurers, overhearing each other’s intentions, decided to join forces. They learned from local gossip that crucial information regarding the treasure could be obtained from the town's elder. Upon meeting him, the elder advised seeking out the Doler, last seen at the Golden Lion tavern on the east pass. However, before setting out, the elder recommended they hunt some deer in the nearby forest for provisions.

In the depths of the forest, the newly formed group encountered an undead bear. During battle, their weapons got stuck in the bear's decaying flesh, and the creature fled into a cave. Pursuing it, the adventurers faced a crossing over an unstable bridge. Ragnar, Matty, and Thor managed to cross safely, while Danté, Juul, and Diggy fell into a river below, later facing a trio of aggressive wolves upon reaching the shore. Meanwhile, the trio who crossed the bridge encountered a hidden goblin tomb and were quickly ambushed by two goblins. After a brief skirmish, the goblins were defeated. The adventurers then found the bear's body, retrieving their embedded weapons. Once regrouped, the six adventurers returned to Fayhold, only to find it engulfed in flames and chaos—raiders were attacking. With no time to intervene, the group decided to flee, thus beginning their journey in search of the significant treasure.
