Previous Episode: The Significant Treasure - S02 E09
Thor Battlehammer, Juul Troski, Diggy Holderhek, Danté Galanodel and Jacob Black continued their journey north through Aclea. Suddenly, a strong wind began to blow, escalating into a tornado that uprooted trees. As the wind calmed down, Danté regrouped with the others, revealing that he had seen Matty 'Asmatheus' Forester and Ragnar Meliamne nearby. As they walked up the road, they encountered a forest fire blocking their path. A woman approached them, pleading for help to rescue her children trapped in a village beyond the fire. The group agreed to help. A strange man then appeared, describing a monstrous beast they would need to face, a gigantic snake-like creature with antlers and sharp teeth. He advised them to walk around the fire. Following his advice, the group found a large sled in a dark part of the forest, drawn by two majestic silver pegasi. A large man in a red robe with a white beard and a cheerful presence appeared behind them, handing out gifts to each adventurer:
- Danté: A Phantom Scimitar (1d6)
- Juul: A Defensive Chestplate
- Thor: A Greatclub of Beast Senses
To Diggy, the man offered wisdom and guidance to find "Daiema" to defeat the monster. The man then left, revealing an entrance to an ancient ruined temple with an inscription deciphered by Danté: “Because this is where you lie, she who watches…” Inside, they found nine strange stones on the floor and a hidden message behind a painting: “I sail north-west, I arrive south. The center I am looking for is still far away. On the way to West again, but thought East was best.” Solving the riddle, they stood on the stones in the correct order, revealing a tunnel to an underground dungeon. The dungeon was filled with rooms containing encounters, treasure, and traps. Eventually, they reached the final room and faced a powerful beast. The battle seemed nearly lost until a mysterious figure in black clothing intervened, revealing himself as the Doler who had betrayed them on Demoña, alongside Char-Iz. The Doler taunted them about Matty's and Ragnar's betrayal, leading them through a tunnel to a passage filled with silver and gold surroundings. At the end, they saw Ragnar and Matty shaking hands with Char-Iz, who quickly disappeared. Feeling a deep sense of betrayal, the session ended with the group confused.
