Previous Episode: The Significant Treasure - S02 E08
As Ragnar Meliamne and Matty 'Asmatheus' Forester sat at the shore, drenched from their escape from the lake, they faced Lord Edward Brown and his knights. Lord Brown, standing proudly, declared that he had finally captured the wrongdoers. However, a powerful gust of wind suddenly swept through the area, uprooting trees and crushing several knights. Ragnar’s magic sword, which had fallen out of its sheath, glowed bright red, signaling the presence of the monster guarding the significant treasure and likely the cause of the powerful windblasts. With most of the soldiers dead or incapacitated, Ragnar and Matty seized the opportunity to flee into the deep woods. There, they encountered a large spider and nearly fell in battle. They were saved by one of the Red Knights who had lost an arm in the earlier chaos. The knight, in desperate need of medical help, was healed by Matty and introduced himself as Diero Ander. Their respite was brief as they were attacked by another spider. This spider was soon devoured by an even larger one, which then captured Ragnar, Matty, and Diero, taking them to its cave. Inside, they managed to free themselves from the spider’s silk and discovered Algernon Travers and Calvin Pont, also trapped in the cave. As they attempted to escape, they were confronted by a giant angry raccoon. Ragnar offered the golden egg to the raccoon, appeasing it and allowing their escape.
Continuing their journey, they spotted a small army of western soldiers marching east and soon noticed a group of robed individuals with torches heading towards a gigantic white temple. Following them, they entered the temple and were welcomed by Samson Black, brother of Adrius Black. Samson explained that this was a temple dedicated to Sabraël, the god of Knowledge and Wisdom. As he finished speaking, the adventurers turned to see a familiar figure—Char-Iz, the evil wizard who had betrayed them on Demoña. "Greetings, my friends," Char-Iz said, as the session came to a close.
