Reunited with Abby at last, the adventurers were relieved yet confused to find her alongside Captain Marella Thorne. Marella explained that Abby’s true nature had become a widely known throughout the Arafora Sea, making her a highly sought-after figure. She then revealed her personal quest—the lifelong obsession of her father, who spent his life searching for the Fountain of Youth only to die before finding it. With newfound knowledge that the Fountain of Youth could only be accessed by traveling back in time, Marella sought to use Abby’s powers to activate a portal to the past. In return for the players’ help in acquiring the two ritual chalices, she promised to join their fleet and grant them access to the Misty Island whenever they wished.
Trusting her offer, the party stepped through the portal alongside Marella and her crew, finding themselves in an ancient forest. There, they stumbled upon the wreckage of an old ship, its remains now surrounded by vegetation. As they approached, a group of Bullywugs ambushed them, leading to a skirmish in which they successfully defended themselves. Exploring the shipwreck, Davkas Grosko and Juulia Troski uncovered crates of ale and various supplies. Meanwhile, Rasa Arziki discovered the diary of the long-deceased captain, Leon Ponce Oakenheel, which detailed his failed quest for the Fountain of Youth. Beneath his throne, they uncovered the two chalices required for the ritual—one with a blue gem and the other with a red gem. Now equipped with the knowledge and artifacts they needed, the group turned to the Heartseeker compass, using it to track the actual location of the Fountain of Youth.
