Early Life

Ragnar Meliamne was born in 2664 ADM near the town of Ginum. The only child of Halea Meliamne and Aelar Meliamne, Ragnar's early years were marked by privilege and splendor, residing in a grand estate that reflected his family's noble status. His mother, Halea, was a compassionate and wise woman, while his father, Aelar, was a prominent figure in the elven court. However, Ragnar's idyllic childhood was short-lived. In 2693 ADM, when Ragnar was just 29 years old, tragedy struck. His mother, Halea, was betrayed and murdered by fellow nobles, a shocking act of treachery that devastated the Meliamne family. Unable to cope with the loss, Aelar abandoned his son, leaving Ragnar to navigate his grief and resentment alone.

Determined to leave behind the painful memories and the treacherous world of nobility, Ragnar forsook his family's estate and moved to a secluded hut on the outskirts of Ginum. Harboring a deep grudge against the noble class, Ragnar's formative years were shaped by solitude and a growing sense of injustice. By 2802 ADM, Ragnar had reached the age of 138. His resentment towards the nobility had only intensified over the years. Seeking retribution, he joined a band of mixed-breed outlaws who targeted noblemen's carriages, robbing them of their riches. For five years, Ragnar and his comrades plundered the wealth of the elite, becoming infamous across the region. However, in 2807 ADM, their luck ran out. Ragnar was captured, tried, and sentenced to 75 years in prison, where he remained chained to an iron ball, reflecting on his choices and the life he had left behind. Upon his release in 2882 ADM, on his 208th birthday, Ragnar's life took an unexpected turn. He met Mara Stormwind, a 23-year-old human wizard whose beauty and wisdom captivated him. Their love blossomed, and they spent 93 blissful years together. Mara's death in 2976 ADM, at the age of 117, plunged Ragnar into despair. Teetering on the brink of returning to his criminal past, he instead chose to pursue a new purpose after receiving a tip about a significant treasure.

The Quest

Ragnar traveled to Fayhold, driven by rumors of a hidden treasure guarded by a mysterious being. Ragnar joined a group of adventurers stranded in a village along the eastern pass. They faced numerous trials, including an encounter with the wizard Char-Iz. Their journey took them south into the Misty Woods, where they unearthed half of the treasure within the mystical towers of Solace Spire. A cataclysmic accident forced their flight, pursued by malevolent forces. Their escape led them to the western isle of Demoña, where they confronted Char-Iz and his plans to unleash hordes of orcs and goblins upon Eredonia. Following their escape, the adventurers found themselves imprisoned and witnessing a horde of dark creatures emerging from a malevolent portal. A daring escape led them to the Western Kingdom of Aclea, where they embarked on separate quests, uncovering new mysteries and forging alliances. The season culminated in a revelation of Char-Iz's true identity as the demigod of war and desolation, manipulating the adventurers and sowing discord. Their final showdown in the arena of Redhaven saw them uncover the truth about a powerful artifact and its potential to save the withering Tree of Life.

One year later the group reunites in Oakheart, only to witness a grim act by Duma, the God of War. Their journey took them on a perilous ascent of the Ravenbeards Mountain, facing trials that symbolized the seven deadly sins. They were relentlessly pursued by the Unknown, while the group was seeking to unlock Char-El's wisdom. Their quest was driven by the need to pacify Duma's wrath and uncover the secrets that could save their world. The heroes faced the challenge of reassembling Char-El's scattered intellect. Their adventures took them through the Underworld, Solace Spire, and the grand city of Castra Norba, ultimately reuniting Char-El's fragments. Char-El revealed that to stop Duma's rampage, they needed to find his wife, Kina, imprisoned in Atlantis. Their journey to Vaedora, a continent ravaged by Duma's fury, culminated in a climactic battle against the gods of the pantheon.

After their adventures, Ragnar returned to nobility, his heart changed by the trials and triumphs he had experienced. He married Annora Amakiir, another elf, and together they had two sons, Elnar Meliamne and Elanon Meliamne. Then Ragnar's journey from a vengeful nobleman to a hero of legend and finally a grand duke of Broga came to an end.
