Previous Episode: Voyage of the Cursed Dawn - S02 E08
The session picked up as the party continued their journey uphill toward the mountain city of Kalimanja. The path led them high into the cold mountain peaks until they finally reached the town itself, a settlement built among cliffs and clouds. At the center stood a massive temple devoted to an unfamiliar deity: Pegomi-Gish, protector of the sky. While exploring the city, the players suddenly witnessed a gigantic airship emerging through the clouds before docking at the town’s airdocks. Curious, they investigated how to board it. They learned that entering the harbor normally required a Rai License, a permit that takes months to obtain. At a nearby academy, however, they discovered two alternatives:
- Purchase a passenger ticket for 100 gold pieces per person.
- Sign on as workers aboard the ship for minimal pay.
Unable or unwilling to spend the gold, the party chose the second option and signed labor contracts with a newly introduced faction: The Imperialists, rulers of the Sky Empire. The crew boarded the airship and were greeted by the intimidating first mate, a massive goliath named Mr. Arrow. He assigned the group three possible duties aboard the vessel:
- Cleaning
- Shoveling coal
- Hospitality service for guests
Before work began, Mr. Arrow singled out Davkas Grosko, informing him that the captain herself wanted to see him. The session ended as Davkas was summoned to meet Captain Amelia.
