"From the Crown, All Rivers Flow."
Overseers of the realm’s scribes, judges, and scholars, House Eladwynn rules from the high plateau known as The Crown, where the kingdom’s capital, Meridian, sits proud above the three rivers of Tribach. Eladwynn's cities dot the rivers and coastline, granting them control of major trade routes, legal institutions, and political discourse.
The nobles of Eladwynn are famed for their intellect, wealth, and political precision—but their demeanour often strikes others as aloof, haughty, or cold. Since the founding of the united kingdom, the royal line has come from House Eladwynn, and many believe they see themselves not just as rulers, but as the realm itself.
To the south, the Golden Sea island Quillba remains contested with the Zhireen Desert Empire, whose fortress-city Snek shares the same land. Peace with Zhireen has held for centuries on a knife’s edge. With the king gravely ill, many fear the foreign empire may seize the moment to break the truce.
