Ægisráð

Geographical Location

Geography

The two mountains that shoulder the Capital of Stürmkrag are sighted before the capital itself, while the eastern mountain only rises three miles above sea level, the western mountain is seven and a half miles high, and is so massive in scale that it is split into three parts. The Jotun Lófi, Fenrirsúr Fangrs and The Nagl.
Though some Stürmkragian settlements have been established in Jotun Lófi and the eastern mountain, anything beyond that remains unexplored due to its hazardous climb and extreme cold conditions.

The Jotun Lófi make up the majority of the elevated snow encased plains of Ægisráð, rising one and a half miles from sea level. Unfrozen rivers stream from the peaks above, and crevices that dig deep into the rocky interior of the landscape are deceptively hidden from sight, if the traveler is lucky enough to get a clear day.

Fenrirsúr Fangrs shoot from the elevated plains into heights that would unsettle even a Goliaths as also oxygen becomes less plentiful. The looming, soaring mountain seem to bend and swallow the word if the onlooker would stand near its base. Stretching for another four miles, the climb is an arduous rise with small increments of descent, slowly taking whoever dares further away from sea level. Largely unexplored, aeons old secrets remain secluded from the world.

Lastly the Nagl, the last two ascending miles in the climb sits above a sea of clouds commandingly in most days. At the very top of the mountain, a kingdom of Jotuns hold its dominion above the world out of sight and shrouded in magic to conceal itself.

Inhabitants
Those that have decided to establish themselves in Ægisráð do so solely to remove themselves from Stürmkragian rule, which as a result harbours a lot of outlaws from the capital.
Goliath population in Jotun Lófi overshadow any other, and civilization is severed into small villages or towns. The Jotun Lófi has a large number of waring tribes of Frost Jotuns fight amongst themselves, often times pillaging human villages.

In the Nagl, the Kingdom of Storm Jotuns meddle little in the lives of smaller folk, often seeing them as animated toys who think they are alive.

Above the highest peak of the Nagl, a fabled exotic city of Cloud Jotuns are rumoured to be planted on a cloud itself.
