Erazin is the god of light, courage, redemption, justice, and rebirth in the Erazinic faith, the main religion among the human population of Irkasy and Targues. Most deities of the old Irkasian and Targuite pantheons now act as his "saints," serving as intermediaries and tending to less urgent affairs.

History

Depictions

Erazin is most often depicted as a man in gleaming white armor, bearing a sword in one hand and a scorched shield in the other. Many statues of him depict him on his loyal steed, who bore him into battle against Zilmanok's forces.

Whatever the pose or the equipment, however, one trait remains constant: Erazin's face is always obscured, most often by a sphere of light, but sometimes by a fine veil. Scholars believe that this artistic tradition came about from a request by Erazin himself — that his face be obscured so that he could represent all soldiers who perished in the war against Zilmanok's forces. Others believe that the tradition began as a simple sign of reverence.

In-Game Knowledge

  • Tyrion and Juno learned that Erazin was chosen by The Light while he was still mortal, and that when he died on the battlefield, this mark was purportedly a point of contention for Radan. The death god wished to claim Erazin as he did all those who die in his domain, but he was denied.
  • The mortal Arseni Erazin died in single combat with Kalmakuug, who was left fatally wounded and forced to retreat.
