The Witherwoods were once home to a vibrant Moon Elf society, with A'va Edhil at its center. The same cataclysmic event which saw A’va Edhil destroyed spread dark energies well past the city’s bounds, energies which seeped into the surrounding forest and twisted everything (and everyone) in its path into shadows of their former selves.
Those who live near the Witherwoods usually avoid it at all costs, for fear that they may meet the same fate as those contained within.
