Berkessel initially accompanied Mayssel for a mission and found himself within the walls of the Royal Criatura Academy to help lecture students about the Thief job tree. He helps calm Mayssel down when Lumin interrupts her lecture.[1] After the lecture, he helps a student learn about how to use Thief skills with the Thief Manual and assigns the task of killing one of the academy Porings with the Envenom skill. When the student does so successfully, Berkessel acknowledges the task's completion and refers the student to Mayssel to learn more.[2] He tells the student that if he/she becomes an Assassin, they may cross paths in the future.
Berkessel later attends the banquet for the heroes that defeated Surt along with Mayssel and Vicente.[3]
