Waazi is the Keeper of the Deep Knowledge and the Bringer of Madness. He is the keeper of all knowledge related to the contradictory and nonsensical realm of the Abyss. It is said that only he truly understands the Abyss. The followers of Waazi are similar to the followers of Bewaar, however they partake in the forbidden and dark knowledge of the Abyss. Servants of Waazi are invariably driven mad by their dark god as they uncover more deep secrets of the Abyss. They travel the world, searching for snippets of Abyssal knowledge in an endless quest for knowledge at all costs. The followers form a physical and spiritual reliance to knowledge, and as they go mad and become unable to travel due to madness, their bodies and souls deteriorate until death as their essence is consumed by Waazi. This is seen as an honor by followers of Waazi and the best possible fate. Chief among His servants are mindflayers and other creatures of the void.

Waazi rules over the city of Abdalom, one of the only definitive locations in the Abyss.

In physical form, Waazi manifests as a faceless humanoid figure in yellow robes, usually adorned with an incorporeal crown floating above His head. Under the hood is usually darkness, but closer inspection will reveal maddening visages of horror, carnage, and brutality which render the viewer psychotic. In lieu of legs, manifestations of Waazi usually either sport tentacles or float above the ground.

The name of the Mad God is hardly ever spoken except by His faithful, as to say His name is to attract His attention, something that can be incredibly dangerous. Even those who know His name dare not utter it out of sheer terror and do all they can to purge it from their minds, except for His faithful, who relish in the madness He brings.
