Bewaar is the God of Knowledge. He was created by Bouwen to catalog and record the World. He typically stays in his library, located in an extradimensional space in its own plane of existence. He is one of the more hospitable of the Gods of Lu'ud, as his library is open to free use to any who can find their way to it. Bewaar will also engage in conversation with visitors, as, despite knowing nearly everything, he cannot know what is inside someone's mind, and this keeps him endlessly curious. Sometimes, Bewaar will also summon exceptional Beldkind to his library personally to discuss with them whatever matters are of interest to a god who knows nearly everything. Bewaar does not know, nor does he wish to learn, about the forbidden knowledge of the Abyss. Followers of Bewaar support the unrestricted and free transfer of knowledge and ideas. Free speech is one of the most important values to Bewaar's faithful. Followers believe in the gathering of knowledge for knowledge's sake, seeking to broaden their horizons to gain enlightenment. The greatest possible honor for a follower of Bewaar is to be invited to his Library to meet the God himself. However, the greatest sacrilege is seek the forbidden knowledge of the Abyss and Waazi.
The Three Faces of Bewaar
Bewaar appears in a variety of different guises, but He primarily chooses to appear in one of two ways, either as The Archivist, The Student, or The Teacher. Bewaar is simultaneously both of these faces, representing the importance of curiosity and wisdom within His faith.
The Student
The Student is young, wide-eyed, and inquisitive. He is possessed of an infinite childlike wonder for the world and an endless hunger for knowledge and new stories.
The Teacher
The Teacher is old, wise, tall, and dignified. He is a scholar in the truest sense. He loves to spread knowledge and inspire curiosity and wonder.
The Archivist
The duty of the Archivist is to gather and preserve knowledge.
