Half-Elves are people with mixed Elvish-Human ancestry. Despite the name, they do not need to be actually half Elvish, and anyone with more than 1/4 Elvish ancestry will be a Half-Elf. By appearance, Half-Elves vary from being almost indistinguishable from Elves to almost indistinguishable from Humans. Most resemble what the name suggests. They have pointed ears, but not as long or as pointed as full Elves and also age at a far slower rate.
Half-Elves tend to come of age at about 18 and usually live to be 150.
