Shifters are descendants of the intermixing of humans and lycanthropes. They cannot fully transform into animals, but they can (at will) enhance their animalistic features, a process called "shifting". When not shifting, Shifters mostly resemble humans, though they often have a degree of body fur, sharper teeth, flatter noses, and pointed ears. Shifters come of age at 18 and typically live to be 110.
