The Lunarians, sometimes called the Moon Men, Children of the Moon, Children of El-Duram, or the Vedalken, are a race of humanoids native to El-Duram.

In appearance, Lunarians appear to be blue-skinned, though close inspection reveals that it is actually dark blue fur, their actual skin being grey. They are tall, standing between 6 and 7 feet tall. Many Vedalken possess Red Eyes

The Vedalken, like the Nephilim, were present in the world before the Worldshaping. The Vedalken themselves do not know the early secrets of their history, which is a major source of the cultural push towards acquiring knowledge. As such, no one, not even the Elohim, know the origin of the Vedalken race, only that they were present on the primordial El-Duram since before Man counted time. Like the Giants, Beld would adopt the Vedalken as His children and the Moon God Tovun would be seen by them as a motherly figure.

On the primordial Moon, which was a lush paradise, the Vedalken thrived in large cities and the people had very good relations with the Deshenite Kingdom. During the War of the Gods, the Vedalken would go silent, staying in the lunar cities and waiting for the conflict to end.

After the end of the War, some Vedalken would return to El-Bayir, either to stay or for religious or scientific pilgrimages. However, when Tovun rebelled against the Gods, El-Duram was Her chosen battleground. The resulting conflict laid waste to the moon, stripping it of flora, fauna, and nearly all life. A small number of Vedalken were able to escape to El-Bayir, but the vast majority of the race perished as their lunar cities were utterly annihilated like a child stepping on an anthill as El-Duram shattered.

Today, the Vedalken are few in number. Their diaspora has scattered them like paper in the wind.

Vedalken come of age at 30 and typically live to be 200.
