The Yalid, also called the Elder Races, are the original native races of El-Bayir who inhabited El-Bayir before the coming of the Elohim and the Worldshaping.
The sentient Yalid were adopted by Beld upon His birth and are therefore considered to be akin to Beldkind and are often counted amongst them. It is for this reason that Beld is called the God of Adoption.
