Merlodion

Painting of Merlodion which sits both in the Halls of Fangardh and the Halls of Vandimion
"In the Age of the Gods, all of Beldkind were beautiful and luminous beings, the Elves moreso. But even then, Merlodion was one of the greatest creations of Beld. He stood taller than nearly any other man and could even outmatch a bugbear in any physical contest. His face was a soft and subtle tapestry of divine beauty, and his hair was red like fire. Felaern was smitten immediately."
Merlodion, often called Merlodion the Red, or the Red Prince of Lysbar, was an Elvish knight who became the husband of the Elvish King Felaern. His love with Felaern was said to be so true and beautiful that Vessia Herself attended their wedding. He was a great Elvish knight and a proud warrior, first in service to Deshen and then in service to his husband-king. He was said to be one of the greatest warriors of his time. He was killed by the Dark Lord Unknown, and his death led to the collapse of Lysbar.
Felaern and Merlodion had seven children, all of whom (except Melaern, the youngest who was born just a year before the Fall of Lysbar) died in the Fall of Lysbar.
