Duirdannion was an Elvish king who, following the chaos of the War of the Gods, led a contingent of Elf colonists to the Underdark under false promises by Donere, posing as an angel, of sanctuary and prosperity for his people. Once trapped in the Underdark, Duirdannion did his best to help his people survive their new prison, and he is credited with the survival of the Elvish colonists of the Underdark. Following his death, the loose coalition of city-state colonists he had constructed fell apart.
