Nenuvez Elf-friend (Elvish: Nenuvez Eldirsir), born Nenuvez Balan, was a noted Human adventurer who was courted by Maehros and became her husband. Born to a noble family in Anath, he traveled the World and went on many adventures, becoming something of a living legend. As a young man, he was tutored in the court of Felhros, King in Exile, where he met Maehros, the Princess in Exile. The two had a brief romance which was cut short by his recall to Avanar. Some ten years of adventuring and travels later, he returned and rekindled his romance with the Princess. The two were married in the halls of the city and lived a loving life together until his death of old age. At 103, he was one of the longest-lived mortal men, which some ascribe to his time spent with the long-lived Elves in their lands. He is remembered as a noble and heroic warrior, and a lover of song and poetry. He was a devout worshipper of Sha.
