The Miezi is a unique saber used by the Byori people. It is one of the most important cultural heirlooms of the Byori people and is seen as a strong national symbol. Nearly every noble Byori owns a miezi and is trained in its use, usually receiving them when they come of age. It is illegal for Byori commoners, unless given special dispensation by a boyar, to wield or even touch a miezi.
