Of Deshen's children, she was perhaps the most devoutly loyal to him. She possessed an unbreakable will, immense ambition, and extreme tactical genius. Deshen made her his lead battlefield commander, and she would not once lose a battle. It took the Gods Themselves to defeat her. Perhaps they killed her in the ocean for fear that she would succeed in conquering the Fae should she make landfall on their continent.

Azuria ben Deshen was the first daughter of Deshen, created as twin of Desconocido. She was a famous warrior of Deshen and fought in the War of Foundation and suppressed the first Dragon Cult. She gained a reputation for brutality and ruthlessness. She is most known for her attempt to conquer and subjugate the Fey in what became known as the Azurian War, during which she died.

Supposedly, Azuria herself managed to swim on shore and was subsequently cursed by the Fey.

Azuria was greatly injured and disfigured during the War of Foundation, losing her eye, arm, and leg to dragonsbreath. For the remainder of her life, she wore magical prosthetics designed by her brother Canoron.
