House Scelza of Kaveza is the ruling house of Neria. House Scelza was formerly a banking family. Unlike the other Nerian banking families, House Scelza sided with the Empire when they finally conquered Neria and received lordship over Neria as a reward.
The surrender of House Scelza to Pelegon VI and their lordship over all of Neria has created conflict between them and their vassals. House Achargi, the traditional “founders” of Neria, view themselves as the rightful inheritors of the title of Hierarch. Additionally, the ancient House Meranda boast a far more prestigious lineage than their overlords, and consider themselves to be more suited for overall lordship.
