House Khainohk of Deep Hearth is the ruling house of Mernel.
Members of House Khainohk tend to be stocky and strong, even by Dwarf standards, with brown hair, grey eyes, and fiery tempers.
House Khainohk is not the strongest of the Mernelian houses and has struggled to reign in their unruly bannermen over their tenures as Kings of Mernel. During the Pelegonic Conquest, Pelegon I named Lord Koren Khainohk as Koren I, King of Gem and Stone. Historians remain divided over why the Prophet named Koren and his house as rulers of Mernel.
