The great city of Rathorne is located in the heart of the Great Draconic Swamp. Here, the trees are so thick that they can be hollowed out to serve as great towers without killing the tree, and there is always a thick humidity in the boggy air. Some of the architecture is stone, while some is wood and tree. Surrounded by swamp haze, the city is foggy and gloomy, but is host to a rich musical and literary tradition which causes artists to flock to its gates. Since the fall of the authoritarian Siaat, Rathorne has flourished as a cultural center.
