House Monkovog of Shar-gilgat

House Monkovog of Shar-gilgat is a noble house sworn to House Khainohk. Originally an incredibly minor house ruling a small keep in the Mernel, the Monkovogs sided with Pelegon I and were granted lordship of Shar-gilgat as a reward. Though they were the most powerful Mernelian house to side with the Prophet, they were not named King of Gem and Stone. Historians debate why, with most guessing that it was due to the fact that, despite their loyalty, Pelegon I did not consider them a distinguished enough dynasty to reign as kings.
