The Dune Sea is a region of the Ba'hram Desert. It is a large expanse of shifting sand dunes, harshly lit by the Sun.
On the western edge of the Dune Sea is a tall complex of cliffs which serve as the "edge of the bowl" as the Badawi call them. At certain places, stairways are built into the cliffs to allow easier access to the Dune Sea.
The Dune Sea is an inhospitable and bone-dry land. The dunes are omnipresent, and at their highest are known to rise several hundred meters high. The landscape is constantly shifting, blown by the winds. Sandstorms are frequent in this region and are known to be powerful enough to rip clothing and skin. Despite the danger, the Dune Sea offers a tantalizing prospect for caravans due to the many towns which dot the sea which are the only place in the world certain valuable spices can be grown and manufactured. While the Dune Sea is generally considered the domain of the Badawi, Med'ny city-states dot the sea like islands.
The Dune Sea is inhabited by the tribes of the Badawi and their Anqall, who migrate around the dunes between oases.
