The Pillars is a gargantuan Kardunashi castle complex built in the city of Canithi by the Kardunashi Sea Empire. The Pillars is considered one of the greatest feats of Karduanshi architecture alongside marvels like the Four Brothers.
The castle complex is constructed of a large platform atop several pillars. The pillars are hollowed out, with arrow slits hidden within them. There are several lifts allowing for transport to-and-from the top and the ground.
A city unto itself, the Pillars houses over a thousand residents, consisting largely of the upper classes of Canithi and their servants. Many Kings and Lords of the Pillars have spent their entire lives in the complex, never once descending onto the streets below.
