The Shi are the natives of the shitandesert. Masters of horsemanship, the Shi have a prickly relationship with the neighboring Xiao, with a long history of mutual raiding. At present, the Shi are nominally ruled by the Qu Dynasty, but they frequently balk under imperial rule.
