Sandwalkers are priests of Naem-Ramel. Sandwalkers are so named as they are blessed by Naem-Ramel to be able to walk the harsh Dune Sea and other environs of the Ba'hram Desert barefoot without sustaining burns to their feet. Walking the desert is seen as a holy act, and the sandwalkers do not have a clear path, instead following intuition, which they attribute to their god.
During a walk, sandwalkers are able to travel with minimal water and food and are granted healing powers. However, these boons leave them upon the end of their walk. Sandwalkers travel the Ba'hram, administering healing and proselytizing their faith from settlement to settlement.
Sandwalkers take vows of chastity upon joining the order.
There are few sandwalkers, their order numbering approximately one hundred.
