The Three Sages were three merchant princes from across El-Bayir who became followers and advisors to Pelegon I. They founded the Imperial Mercantile Guild.
It is said that all three of the Three Sages were astronomers and astrologers as well as merchants, who received visions and read prophecies in the stars, allowing them to predict the falling star which Pelegon I found. They subsequently encountered Pelegon I and his meager party on the road, joining him and adding their immense wealth to his movement, allowing him to raise his first military host. Uniquely amongst the members of the Imperial Mercantile Guild, the Three Sages were allowed to get married and found noble dynasties.
