Chezaro Kisteros was the Lord of Mandelion and head of House Kisteros during the Years of Blood and Iron. When the war began, Chezaro was old and past his prime, but was seduced by Pelegon II's promises that he would be named Lord of the Bone Men and overlord of all of the Anagassi Isles for his support. This led most of the other houses of the Anagassi Isles to declare for Prince Beldoran Pelegon, and Chezaro spent much of the war fighting against the Bone Men instead of actually supporting his liege. His misrule led many to refer to him as Chezaro the Cunt. He had had ten children with three wives, and all died in the fighting. During the war, he was captured by the forces loyal to Lady Stagg, who set him adrift on a leaking boat with no food or water. He was never seen again. His death marked the end of significant fighting in the Anagassi Isles and his nephew and successor, Lord Aled, spent the remainder of the fighting brooding in Mandelion while the war ended.
