Anais Bordeaux's Cottage

Anais Bordeaux's Cottage sits at the hem of Gascar, where hedgerow gives way to the first thoughtful trees. Though Rowan did not yet enter it during Session 2, villagers and Hugo described Anais leaving her door unlatched the night she vanished. It remains a focal point of worry, for Elodie Laval was last seen leaving alongside her.

The cottage is spoken of as filled with chimes and the smell of herbs and vellum. Neighbors recall candles guttered into small lakes of wax the night she did not return. It embodies Anais's devotion: to meet the fog as conversation rather than threat, to walk at hours that stirred unease, to press her palm against old bark as if waiting for reply. These stories carry through the village and shape Rowan's understanding of her.

Though only mentioned in Session 2, the cottage is significant as the place where Anais's absence became fact. It is both symbol and site of Gascar's loss, and will likely hold further truths. For now, it stands in Rowan's map as a place to visit, carrying the village's reverence and fear in equal measure.
