The Red Shadows of Herpa

The Red Shadows of Herpa are a fighting order sponsored by the clerical Order of Herpa the Mace. The headquarters of the order is Menekai castle, located in northeastern Rethem, near the Thardic Republic border. Most members of the order are stationed in and around Menekai but small chapterhouses and garrisons may be found at Herpa the Mace temples in Golotha, Ithiko, Moleryn, Senun, Shostim, and Techen. A small handful of soldiers from the Red Shadows of Herpa can even be found at the Herpa the Mace Temple in Coranan.

The order is headquartered at Menekai in the kingdom of Rethem. Like its sponsoring clerical order, it favors a "holy" crusade against the rest of Hârn. The order was granted its lands in 681. In 708 it sent a force across the Gomisen and seized Themeson Keep from the Thardic Republic. However, when a faction broke away to become the Order of the Cohorts of Gashang in 714 they took Themeson for their own. The Red Shadows are currently attempting to exterminate the Kubora tribesmen of Peran. In keeping with their policy of spreading-by-the-sward the word of Agrik, the order supports Chafin III, who is seen as a leader who might be able to unify Rethem and lead the crusade they favor. The order's Akarata is Larga of Gydsilen, who is described in Gods of Hârn as "a coarse and brutish thug". He dwells at Menekai.

Illriggers of the Red Shadows of Herpa usually take contracts with Prince D'khan (Hellspeakers).
