Talagaad is the ice castle in Yashain where Sarajin, the god of war and winter, resides. It is also the heaven for his faithful followers who die in battle. They are brought to this glorious and frozen realm, where they fight and kill each other every day in the valley below the castle, until the snow is stained with blood and "the best alone yet stand". When the night falls, they are healed by Jarlak, the divine servant of death and rebirth, and his servants.They then enter the castle, where they feast and celebrate with Sarajin, the Elkyri and his servants. They drink, sing, and cavort with the wenches until the dawn. Then they return to the valley, ready for another day of endless and honorable combat. This is the ultimate and eternal joy for a Sarajinian warrior.
