Ivinian timberwrights are involved in wood construction and logging. A few supplement their income by clearing land, not always with permission, and selling firewood. Raw logs are sold to shipwrights, who prefer to split and work the wood themselves. Many timberwrights specialize in construction of wooden structures and there are few monopolies in this occupation, except where a particularly large clan can maintain one.
