Hoban took the job of piloting the Gloss Knight because the work interested him. He is never more alive than when sailing the Gloss Knight on some crazy, impossibly dangerous course. Good humored and easy going, he is no fighter, so on any job, his post is on the ship, ready for a quick getaway. Between jobs, he is always looking for a chance to take his wife Zoe out on a romantic date.
