In the Lewd Quay, the party meets Sir Benngar Valperth, the Seneschal of the Chamber for Marric Alaga, Earl of Elorin, and Lady Miriam of Kos. Hjalgrimm complements him on his excellent Khuzan blade and speculates that it is from Azadmere. Ser Benngar tells him that he acquired it from a battle at the border of Quarphor from a reluctant Harbaalese mercenary. His understanding is that it originated in the mountains of Mengola.
Rook and Faelon seek out Shelithe the Soothsayer.
Hjalgrimm and Zareen visit nearby weaponsmith and he demonstrates some subtle Khuzdul techniques.
Party departs for Laket, arrives late afternoon. They notice the brothel and the Peonian temple. They enter the Badger's Claw Inn and get lodging and stabling for the horses. The ostler greets Goliath with affection.
Rook notices two signs of Lia-Kavair.
Hjalgrimm sees a Khuzdul woman and goes over to talk with her. He leaves with her after a short while.
