We are hanging out in Burzyn for a few more days. Askelon and I stop by Kenryst's. Askelon asks to stay and work on creating a new spell. I ask Kenryst if he needs help with anything in exchange for a deal on the elvin kind boots that he has for sale. He says that he has an idea of something that I can help him out with. While this is all taking place hjalgrimm heads to the forge with his lady and they work on the sword that they found. Faelon goes with his woman to relax.
- Toward late afternoon the members of the party start gravitating to different activities.
- Rhyna and Weyliri chat animatedly and then leave the group.
- Faelon and Hjalgrimm are relaxing.
- Askelon and Rook decide to head over to chat with Kenryst Gelarhun.
- Kenryst gets Askelon ready for his research, explaining that it will take a full day tomorrow to document his new spell, test it, and make the formal transcription into his spellbook. They will need material components of either 100gp worth of ground opal, or mixed ashes of sentient creatures. Askelon chuckles about that. Kenryst explains that there are plenty of materials for scribing here. Askelon also wants to transcribe some spells from another spellbook into his own.
- Rook asks Kenryst if he might have a job that Rook could undertake to get a discount on the Taurindar Boots. They talk about selling Kenryst the Sindarin wine and Khuzdul whiskey, but they'll need a lot more coin. After a while, Kenryst decides that Rook could possibly undertake a job (see Rook Side Quest below.)
- Rhyna and Weyliri return to the inn smelling like horse. They take Hjalgrimm and Faelon to see the new Hodiri Warponies they purchased.
- Rhyna and Hjalgrimm take the ancient Khuzdul greatsword to the nearby weaponsmith to see if it can be restored. They work into the early morning, and manage to restore it to nearly pristine condition. They believe that they should be able to sell this sword for as much as 300gp, given its origin and provenance.
