The Woods lives up to it's name, a swath of forest that spans the kingdom. Small villages and towns dot the open spaces. A constant struggle between the ruling Council of Oak, made up of three witches, and the Guild of Woodcutters.
The primary occupations in the Woods are the woodcutters and the farmers, each managing a fairly good life, despite the restrictions on woodcutting.
Children are expected to do their part, sent out into the woods to collect the kingdom's prized mushrooms, which provide healing and health. Once a girl bleeds or a boy begins to have night dreams, they are moved to other forms of work.
In the Woods, family is valued, with generations taking care of each other.
The Council of Oak works to preserve nature, and their way of life.
