Bumblebriar’s Magic Emporium

For sheer size and selection, no magical supply shop in Lygos rivals Bumblebriar’s Magic Emporium. The shop is sprawling and orderly, with wide, neatly labeled aisles lined with shelves of spell components, enchanted curios, charms, scrolls, and minor magical trinkets. Brass chandeliers illuminate the space, casting a warm glow across glass cases that showcase rarer treasures. A small army of overworked, underpaid apprentices and youths scurry constantly through the store, dusting shelves, reorganizing stock, and fetching items for customers, ensuring that every surface gleams and every bin is full.

At the center of it all is Blythe Bumblebriar, a rotund, ruddy-faced halfling with a booming voice and boundless energy. Blythe cannot stand to let a customer browse in peace. The moment someone crosses the threshold, he descends upon them with relentless cheer: extolling the virtues of every wand, overselling every potion, or loudly proclaiming that a particular scroll is “going fast, fast, fast—buy now before it’s gone forever!” His constant chatter can be overwhelming, but he is nothing if not enthusiastic.

Overbearing though he may be, Bumblebriar delivers on his promises. His stock is the largest and most reliable in Lygos, and while prices are often inflated, the quality is undeniable. Even seasoned adventurers grudgingly admit that when they need a rare component, obscure tome, or spare wand in a hurry, Bumblebriar’s Magic Emporium is the first place they look.

Customers may leave his shop with ringing ears and lighter purses, but few leave empty-handed.
